Firefighters ‘Camp Out’ to Raise Money

This week, firefighters from Strathcona County will ‘camp out’ to raise money in support of Muscular Dystrophy.
This annual event, held each spring at Station #1 in Sherwood Park, will see 25+ firefighters spend their days and nights on the roof of the fire station from February 21 to February 24. With a goal of raising $50,000 in a mere 76 hours, the heroic crew welcomes donations and visits from the community. Simply stop by to say hi or give a wave to the rooftop.
There three many ways to get involved and help raise valuable funds for a worthwhile organization:
- Donate in-person at Fire Station #1
- Donate in-person at the Sherwood Park Mall February 21-24 (look for the firefighters collecting donations).
- Donate Online.
